The Mac app and the browser Studio process audio entirely on your device. Your tracks are never uploaded, stored, or analyzed by us — there is no server that ever receives them.

That covers your audio. Two things in the Mac app do reach the network, and neither one carries a track:

• Reference links. If you paste a SoundCloud, YouTube, or Spotify link as a reference, Sunset asks that platform for the title and artist so it can label the reference. The link you pasted is sent to that platform; your audio is not, and Sunset never rips the stream. Paste no link and no request is made.
• Update checks. Sunset asks our update server whether a newer build exists. That request carries version details — nothing about your projects or your audio.

What we do collect

• Checkout: payments run through Stripe. We receive the email address you used at checkout, solely to deliver your download and verify your purchase for support.
• Forms: the waitlist and affiliate applications run on Google Forms; the details you submit there are used only to respond to you.
• Site analytics: anonymous page and funnel analytics so we can see which pages work. No audio, no account profiles.

What we never do

We don't sell or share your information, we don't send marketing you didn't ask for, and we don't track you across other sites.
